Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
Construction & Innovation - The Construction and Innovation Group supports Kāinga Ora to grow its public and supported housing portfolio through the design and development of high quality homes that meet the needs of the community now and in the future, and by driving innovation across the construction sector.
The Building Information Modelling Lead will develop and lead a cross-organisational initiative to investigate the cost benefit and options for the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across multiple programmes.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
To be able to lead a transformative BIM programme and enable performance excellence in our digital capability, we are looking for someone with:
- Minimum 10 years experience of BIM and/or digital construction, and the related policy context
- Experience identifying and testing a range of digital platforms, and other virtual design and construction tools
- Experience establishing Common Data Environments (CDE), and information structures for BIM information models
- Knowledge of key standards including ISO19650- and PAS1192-2
- Experience preparing both Employers Information Requirements (EIR) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and defining Level of Detail and Level of Information requirements
- Proven leadership experience in in leading a complex project and undertaking cost benefit analysis in a cross-organisational environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with key internal and external stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- A tertiary qualification, professional certification or equivalent experience in building and construction management, architecture, engineering or building science
