**Location**:Auckland, NZ
**Job Type**:Full-time, permanent
**About MEGA**:
MEGA The Privacy Company provides global services from its Head Office in New Zealand. Built with **Privacy by Design**, MEGA provides a range of zero-knowledge encrypted cloud storage and communication solutions for individuals and businesses.
We launched in 2013 and have grown to an international team of more than 200 people who are motivated by next-generation technology and design, supporting over 270 million registered users on our desktop and mobile apps across all major platforms.
**About the Role**:
As MEGA’s Revenue Analyst, you’ll identify and monitor trends in MEGA’s revenue, seeking to drive sustainable profitability and bring attention to any revenue control risks. You’ll conduct regular reviews of the company’s financial transactions, sales contracts, and business practices, translating your findings into thorough, actionable summaries. You will also coordinate with our Finance Business Partner and internal accounting team to assist in the preparation of quarterly and yearly revenue reports and documentation of financial arrangements.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will make an impact by:
- Monitoring, analysing, and forecasting trends in MEGA’s revenue
- Translating your analysis into reports and summaries suitable for use by internal stakeholders to guide decision-making and drive the budgeting process
- Conducting regular audits to ensure that internal controls are effective and operational procedures are compliant with relevant local and international regulations
- Regularly assessing and validating data, data integrity, and data collection processes to ensure quality, accuracy, clarity, and sound interpretation
- Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function
Please note that we run an asynchronous, hybrid-remote model at MEGA, and this role may require early-morning or late-night availability as you work alongside staff in different time zones.
**About You**:
You’re an analytical, data-driven problem-solver with outstanding business acumen; you can understand business objectives and work effectively towards them. You have an eye for detail but work in the big-picture, and you’re capable of translating complex data sets into concise, practical summaries. In all things, you are driven by a standard of excellence and you proactively identify barriers to success and seek to find their resolution.
You also have:
- Demonstrated ability in financial management, reporting, and control at a high level, ideally with experience at major multinational or listed businesses
- A successful track record working in project-driven corporate environments, preferably in the IT space
- The ability to understand, interpret, and clearly communicate regulatory requirements as they relate to MEGA's finance function.
- A robust awareness of, and sensitivity to, changing methodology and theory with regard to financial management and control
**Qualifications**
You’ll need to have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline, as well as Qualified Chartered Accountant status with CAANZ or a similar industry organisation.
**What MEGA Offers**:
Along with a flexible working policy, a deliberate culture of internal development, and top-of-the-line tools, you will enjoy a competitive remuneration package.
This is a stable role within a secure but dynamic industry, providing the opportunity to work with passionate people at the forefront of their field.
With attentive leadership and an emphasis on innovation, you’ll grow alongside MEGA as we continue to cement our industry-leading position.
