Large global company with a close-knit high performing New Zealand division. They are a leading provider of industrial power transmission products and specialise in providing services and solutions to meet their customer’s needs.

Their product range consists of electric motors, geared motors, servo motors, servo controllers, variable speed drives and heavy industrial gear units.

**About Role**:
A pivotal position where you are responsible for building lasting relationships with the company’s clients. You will be managing inbound sales enquiries, giving technical advice, finding solutions to problems, preparing quotations, and proactively growing sales with both existing and new customers.
- Manage the inbound sales function for existing customers, ensuring great service.
- Develop strong customer relationships, ensuring you are aware of upcoming projects.
- Identify and progress sales leads from new customer enquiries, converting new business sales opportunities.
- Consult with customers to understand their specific needs and provide solutions that will best service these needs.
- Provide technical support, quotations, and process orders, ensuring prompt generation and proactive follow up to facilitate the sale.
- Problem-solve, trouble shoot and assist customers with any issues.
- Fulfilment of all sales administration, invoicing, and other record keeping.
- Assist the external sales Engineers in selection, pricing, and order processing of products.
- Utilise the company’s CRM to capture, track & manage new & existing customer relationships & commercial activities.
- Actively grow your own industry and product knowledge
- Full training will be provided.

**About You**:
This could be an opportunity for a graduate or a more experienced Sales Engineer, you would be remunerated accordingly.
- Degree or Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or strong experience with rotatable machinery.
- Highly responsive, confident, credible, articulate communication.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts.
- Be both Sales and Technically minded and able to move between the two skill areas with ease.
- A consultative sales approach, offering the right solutions to meet individual customers’ needs.
- Has a questioning mind and is dedicated and interested in learning and upskilling.
- Proactive work habits, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Good administration and systems skills - MS Suite skills, including confident Excel.
- Experience with SAP would be ideal.
