The Team Leader Leasing is an exciting position within the Property Strategy & Planning team.
The Ministry of Justice has one of the largest property portfolios in the public sector. A large proportion of the portfolio is aging with 40% of the buildings being over 50 years old. In addition, 15 buildings are historically classified, which increases maintenance requirements and operating costs.
Over the next ten years the Ministry intends to significantly invest in bringing its existing property portfolio up to a fit for purpose standard.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Ministry's leased portfolio.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
5 years' experience in Commercial leasing management and acquisitions in large and complex organisations, including:

- Tertiary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Relevant industry or technical qualifications and/or certifications.
- Client and tenant relationship experience.
- Well-developed procurement, negotiation and lease management skills.
- Experience of financial budgeting/planning and forecasting including lifecycle costing and operating expenditure.
- Contributing a culture of collaboration and cross functional integration.
- Communicating with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues.
- Able to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within an organisation and a wide network of professional relationships across organisations.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $143,388 based on skills and experience.
