**About the role**
The purpose of the BSC Administrator, Assets & Leases is to support Assets & Leases operations as part of the New Zealand Business Service Centre (BSC) to a consistently high standard and in accordance with The Downer Standard, key Global Solutions (systems) and Service Level Agreements (SLA). This is a full time permanent position based in Auckland.
The Assets & Leases function is responsible for finance related transactional support, including asset register maintenance (create/update/transfer/dispose), lease accounting, and query management.
**Responsibilities**
- Asset creation, maintenance, transfer and disposal processes
- Respond to all queries to resolution
- Prepare Asset & leases related balance sheet reconciliations
- End of month close activities for Assets & Leases (incl. preparing financial and management reporting)
- Participate in Visual Management Board (VMB) for the team, operational huddles
- Work as part of and provide support to the wider BSC and Assets & Leases team
- Assist with documenting all processes in relation to Assets & Leases work stream portfolio in accordance with The Downer Standard
- Follow internal controls and processes, company policy.
- Work towards continuous improvement ensuring it is part of the BSC NZ’s DNA (The BSC Way).
- Asset creation, maintenance, transfer and disposal processes
- Prepare Asset & leases related balance sheet reconciliations
- Finance related support (inc. balance sheet reconciliations, end of month reporting)
- Sustain The BSC Way through the use of VMBs, operational metrics, huddles
- Query & Resolution Management
**What you’ll bring**
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
- Near completion of CA/CPA (preferred )
- JDE/SAP or similar ERP as a user (2+ years - advantageous)
- Data entry experience (2+ years)
- Invoice entry, supplier account management, and payments experience (2+ years preferred)
- Asset register maintenance (1+ years)
- Stakeholder management, dealing with external suppliers and key business stakeholders.
- High volume data entry environment, preferred Share Services
- Excellent customer service skills, effective communication skills
- Effective interpersonal, consulting, persuading and negotiation skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Understanding of relevant AASB/IFRS
- High attention detail, high speed, and high level of accuracy
- Works part of a team, manages own workload with mínimal supervision.
- Be passionate and inquisitive to understand requirements, business processes, impacts and opportunities to benefit business operations.
- Hands on, ability to work in a high pressure, highly deadline driven environment
- Self-motivated and pro-active, positive, and can-do attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
