Our Geotechnical team works across geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and hydrogeology. We are looking for a Team Leader for our Wellington-based Geotechnical team. You will be joining and leading our motivated and trusted team, who are dedicated to developing and sharing technical innovation to push boundaries and continually challenge and overcome conventions and constraints to make the everyday better.

As our Wellington-based team leader, you will be supported by the Central Geotechnical Manager and be responsible for leading a team of ten, each day will be varied with new opportunities, and overall, this role will see you;
- Providing coaching and mentoring alongside day-to-day leadership and people management
- Provide technical direction and leadership projects across Geotechnical projects
- Lead and participate in design teams on medium to large projects locally, throughout New Zealand and across the Pacific
- Assign resources and develop plans for self and others to accomplish goals and prioritise actions
- Network, develop and grow relationships with clients and the infrastructure business
- Be passionate about learning and develop and mentor others to grow fulfilling careers

Our Central team members are in Wellington, Palmerston North and New Plymouth. Whilst most interactions are done remotely, the role will involve some travel.

You are someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience. You are an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist who is passionate about the opportunity to grow others, motivated by being in a leadership role and enjoys sharing your colleagues' successes and delivering excellence.
