Your Opportunity
As the result of an internal promotion, Team Global Express has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join us as a Team Leader. As the team leader you will effectively lead operations staff to achieve quality service standards and safe work practices. You will ensure that a superior service is provided to both internal and external customers. Additionally, you will provide accurate reporting and ensure that a high level of financial results is achieved with regard to utilisation of all appropriate resources. You will communicate effectively with your team members and develop working relationships with key stakeholders.
What you’ll bring to this role
To be successful in this role, you could have the following experience:
Duties & responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the branch freight operations - PM shift (1200 - 2130 hours)
- Promote and support health and safety practices
- Assist with the reporting of business performance
- Effectively manage customer relationships and expectations
- Create and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Train staff where necessary
- Ensure effective allocation of resources to achieve branch KPIs
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the transport industry
- Well-developed communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and effective relationships
- Proven experience in people management
- Able to manage and control costs
- Ability to supervise daily activities, manage resources and plan workflow
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Customer-focused attitude
- Ability to lead by example and empower others to perform
