**Overview**
**The Role**
We are seeking a talented, creative and self-motivated communications professional to deliver outstanding publicity results across news and current affairs and our entertainment portfolio - including FTA, STV and streaming platform ThreeNow.
This role will help execute the publicity and talent strategy across our news and entertainment brands and content in New Zealand and Australia, as directed by the Manager, Publicity and Talent. This role also aims to deliver first class consumer publicity and builds the profile of our news and entertainment talent.
As a global media business, this role will require regular communication with international colleagues in Australia, USA, UK, APAC and beyond. Flexible working hours required.
**Responsibilities
Publicity Strategy
- Deliver the news and current affairs and entertainment publicity strategy across ANZ portfolio, prioritising brands and content across FTA, STV and ThreeNow
- Create and implement proactive press plans that drive buzz and awareness for programming and talent; including responsibility for specific shows as directed
- Manage media requests, runsheets, briefings for news talent, and entertainment talent as required
- Support unit publicity requirements for local productions in NZ, as required
- Support efforts to build the Warner Bros. Discovery corporate identity across ANZ
- Establish clear metrics of success for relevant shows and talent across each platform
Talent Strategy & Relationships
- Manage and foster talent relationships across the portfolio of brands
- Develop show and talent promotional plans as required
Other:
- Manage execution of CSR-related publicity requirements
**Qualifications**
- Experience within a publicity and talent role within entertainment, news or relevant industry.
- Portfolio of publicity and/or communications campaign examples, and results
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the media landscape and existing relationships with local media
- Strong strategic thinker, able to identify opportunities and risks in publicity activities and develop plans accordingly, including key messaging and Q&As
- Independent thinker with a strategic mindset, highly driven and self-motivated
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work readily and easily with many different personalities in a highly matrixed and international structure
- Dynamic personality, adaptable, a high-degree of professionalism and discretion
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player able to work with colleagues across multiple locations & timezones
- Degree educated
