As an Assurance Manager, you will take charge of the assurance program of work providing assurance across all lines of defense, including management controls, policies and procedures, internal and external audits, sector standards and legislative compliance for Emerge Aotearoa Limited, Emerge Aotearoa Housing, Mind & Body, and Ignite Aotearoa entities, creating improvements along the way. Assurance activities will support all areas of the organization including service delivery, quality, finance, IT and people processes.

With solid assurance and/or quality background, you will monitor contractual compliance, guide our business entities re-igniting passion for compliance and continuous improvements, front foot internal and external audits, assist with establishing a cyclical assurance plan as well as look for ways to better our current individual compliance assessment plans and protocols for each of our entities and/or services.

You will lead a small team of 2, an Assurance and Policy & Procedure Coordinator, but influence many. You will collaborate with all levels of the organisation to foster a culture of cooperation and open communication, ensuring we are adhering to and embedding compliance requirements. You will be motivated to make a meaningful impact not just on the immediate stakeholders and services but also seeing improved outcomes for the people we support and their whānau. We want to hear from you if you have a:

- Solid auditing and assurance experience of minimum of 5 years preferably from working within social sector
- Good understanding of the operational needs/functions of a NGO and a good grasp of sector standards, contractual and legislative compliance
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles and assurance programs
- Previous experience establishing and/or reviewing an existing assurance framework and experience with leading internal and external audits
- Previous experience leading complex projects
- Bachelor's degree and professional certification
