Our Technology Directorate, which serves GCSB, NZSIS and the wider NZIC, is at the forefront of this effort making sure our people are connected across the mission and have the information, tools and support they need to succeed.
**About the role**:
As the Scrum Master, you will work in a newly formed product team, supporting the set-up of the new ways of working to deliver products to customers. You will be facilitating and supporting the effective implementation of agile methodologies, which include but may not be limited to, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean frameworks.
**Your responsibilities will also include**:
- Supporting the team in their practices and events
- Daily planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
- Assisting teams to identify and remove their impediments, to collaborate across teams, and to find better ways to visualize, communicate and deliver their work
As part of your day-to-day, you will be committed to the foundations and values that are in place, but remain flexible and open to improvement within the workflow. Your position in the team is vital in order to keep things moving, report on developments, resolve any roadblocks, and celebrate successes along the way.
**What we will be looking for**:
- Knowledge and experience in working within product teams;
- In-depth understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and/or product lifecycle;
- Experience working within an agile environment highly desirable;
- Ability to learn and adapt, work in flexible teams and adapt ways of working;
- Supportive of continual improvement activities, with a learning mind-set;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Receptive and open to feedback; and
- A naturally curious mindset
You will need to be comfortable collaborating with groups and individuals, coaching and consulting others, and working in a fast-paced environment.
