The Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust is the governing entity, with the purpose to receive, administer and protect the Trust’s assets to ensure the cultural, social and commercial development of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei for the benefit of its members.

**Te** Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity**

**Project work within the Stakeholder Management Team**
The Intern will assist the Stakeholder & Engagement Team with various tasks related to community and stakeholder interactions. This role involves administrative support, attending engagements, and assisting with organising meetings and events.

You will gain valuable experience working within a dynamic team that focuses on strengthening relationships with iwi members, stakeholders, and community partners.

This internship is ideal for someone passionate about community engagement, Māori cultural practices, and event coordination.

**Project work within the Communication & Events Team**
The Intern will support the Communications Team in managing content creation, social media planning, and administrative tasks.

This role provides an opportunity to learn about effective communication strategies, social media management, and the creative process behind delivering messages to diverse audiences.

The internship will help you develop valuable skills in communications, while also giving insight into how iwi-focused initiatives are promoted.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in administrative tasks related to various activities such as blessings Create content for various sites
- Attend Maori cultural practices Event preparation
- Attend various internal meetings Event pack down
- Provide assistance in improving current administration systems Assistance with communication and content databases
- Collaborate with the project and whakapapa teams to ensure smooth communication and engagement processes.
- Assist in social media planning
- Provide logístical support for organizing and coordinating stakeholder events.
- Observe how communication content, channels and methods are applied in an iwi setting
- Contribute to preparing documents, reports, and presentations for meetings with stakeholders.
- Observe and help with any HSE administration
