The role will work closely with managers and principals to provide individual and team support that enables the smooth and efficient function of activities and work tasks across the unit.
**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**: Reporting to the Principal Commercial and Contracts Manager, this is a support role responsible for administering, organising and coordinating contracts across the Digital Operations branch.
**The Commercial and Contracts Administrator will**:
- Ensure that all contract and supporting commercial information is loaded in MBIE systems.
- Undertake analysis of supplier commercial arrangement and verify that those arrangements are correct and accurate.
- Accurately document and work across ICT to ensure that contractual obligations are complied with.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify, log and manage commercial risk in the commercial risk register.
- Work to improve administrative systems and processes of the team.
- Proactively produce reports as directed and requested.

- Technology & Architecture Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and experience required: The Commercial and Contracts administrator will have:
- Proven experience of adding value through and competence in the provision of support.
- A proven track record of experience and achievement in a customer service and/or support role.
- A knowledge of secretarial and administrative practices.
- Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of levels within an organisation.
- Experience in a position requiring attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously using initiative and good judgement.
- Ability to respond flexibly to changes in work priorities.
**Qualifications**:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Previous experience in financial administration business processes and managing individual managers is a distinct advantage
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
