About the DCE Office
The DCE's Office advocates Māori, Communities and Partnerships (MCP) position through strategic, credible and effective stakeholder relationships. It ensures that the DCE's workflow and responsibilities are proactively managed to ensure the timely coordination and delivery of MCP's work programme and key deliverables. This role provides thought-leadership across MCP and delivers important mahi on behalf of the DCE and Director.

Reporting to the Director of the DCE Office, the Principal Advisor you will provide high level strategic advice, thought leadership and technical expertise. You will ensure effective advice, engagement, and insights are incorporated into policy, operations, investment, procurement and funding plans that will support the MCP work programme. **To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Extensive and demonstrated ability in building effective relationships and working collaboratively at all levels with senior management, peers and key stakeholders.
- Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to write well and provide robust advice and recommendations
- Demonstrated experience in providing strategic advice for senior leaders
- Organisational agility with political savvy to be able to influence without direct management control
- Proven knowledge of service design and engagement

Position Description

**Salary range**: $141,109.00 - $175,603.00
