**About us**

Humes Pipeline Systems (Humes) is a standalone business unit within the Building Products division of Fletcher Building, with its focus predominantly in the management of water and other utilities. Humes have approximately 250+ people, working across 16+ sales branch sites and 4 manufacturing sites around New Zealand. Humes manufactures a range of concrete pipe and concrete precast products, along with sourcing (from external supply partners) and distributing a wide range of drainage and watermain products (plastic pipe/fittings, ductile iron valves/fittings), servicing its core horizontal civil construction markets of land development and infrastructure. There are multiple competing manufacturers and distributers in these markets which means that great customer service, product quality, performance, costs and availability are critical to success.

**About the role**

Based at the Fletcher Building Head Office in Penrose, this position is responsible for helping to lead and administer North Island purchasing, maintaining continuity as measured by customer service targets whilst achieving top line inventory targets across manufacturing sites. Sales, Distribution and Operations facing, this role plays a critical part in providing visibility of forward inventory to meet customer requirements. The role is also responsible for capacity planning, maintaining visibility on network utilisation with early warning of capacity constraints or excess capacity. Supporting the Master Planner, this position plays a key role in supporting demand planning and is pivotal to Humes S&OP processes. The role closely coordinates with Manufacturing sites through rough cut capacity planning, monitoring adherence to schedule, capacity utilisation and manufacturing performance indicators.

**About you**

If you have a proven track record of 3+ years of experience in Supply & Demand Planning or a similar planning role, we’d love to hear from you You’ll be comfortable understanding business forecast to ensure product pipeline is accurate, plus you’ll be accustomed to communicating with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and being proactive in scheduling movement of stock to meet stock demand. You’ll have end to end experience in demand or supply planning and will be confident in making recommendations based on product volume and be accustomed to providing solutions where appropriate.

This role would suit someone with a high level of curiosity, attention to detail, a knack for problem solving and a real hunger to deliver your targets. We’re looking for someone that’s respected in your industry. If you have a successful track record in supply planning, demand planning or production scheduling coupled with a strong ability to develop long term relationships in a technical industry this could be the opportunity for you.
