Principal Cyber Crime and Intelligence Systems Lead

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is a part of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) and is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence.
Cyber-crime threats, such as destructive ransomware, are increasingly impacting New Zealand's national security. To effectively protect New Zealand from this evolving threat, we need to partner across agencies. We are strengthening our leadership to remain ready to meet this shifting operating environment.
The Principal Cyber Crime and Intelligence Systems Lead, is responsible for leading the NCSC's engagement with New Zealand Police as a cyber-crime partner. You will drive successful delivery of shared NCSC and New Zealand Police outcomes, drawing on a detailed understanding of both agencies strategic and operational priorities, intelligence and business processes, as well as, New Zealand government's wider cyber security and intelligence systems.
To achieve this, you will create and champion delivery of the NCSC's cyber-crime strategy.
You will also support the ongoing maturity of NCSC's intelligence and assessment practices to create more impactful insights to meet the NCSC's customer's needs.
**To be successful you will**:
- Be experienced managing cross-agency relationships, building trust in inter-agency forums and engaging with diverse stakeholder sets;
- Have demonstrable experience developing system-level strategies and frameworks, as well as, operational workflow, policies and processes;
- Understand New Zealand government's intelligence and cyber security systems and the cyber-crime threat to New Zealand; and
- Have strong engagement skills in domestic and international settings.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
