**Job Description**:
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Seniority in this position means you deliver high-quality work, create exemplary development practices for other developers, and are responsible for meeting shared objectives in the research space.

Some key responsibilities will include:

- Design, develop, and maintain MS Access, SQL Server, and REDCap databases (and other software as required), and MS Access, REDCap and web-based entry screens for multiple clinical studies working with the data management team
- Provide training and ongoing support on the use of databases and entry forms to Data Entry Assistants and other project personnel
- Diagnose and resolve complex software issues
- Collaborate and enable database development teams

This is a **fulltime** (37.5 hours per week), **permanent** position.
The remuneration is $78,500 - $97,000 based on skills and experience.

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a development role
- Experience in building research databases using SQL Server and MS Access
- Experience working in a research context would be highly desirable.
- Advanced SQL query and stored procedures (SQL Server)
- Advanced JavaScript and jQuery
- Highly competent in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
