**What you'll do**

First and foremost, we want you to succeed and grow at Interislander. This is why we will invest into your initial and ongoing training to build your competencies and confidence to make the right decisions and work safely in our safety critical environment.

We have an exciting part-time, permanent opportunity for a motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our team at the Wellington Ferry Terminal.

You’ll not only provide exceptional customer service delivery to our passengers, you will also:

- Coordinate passengers and their bookings
- Assist with ticketing and check-in services for both passengers, their vehicles and commercial vehicles
- Ensure passenger’s luggage is well looked after and properly labelled
- Assist in the café as and when required
- Provide general travel advice and information to our passengers

We are looking for people with exceptional customer service skills and a can-do attitude who are passionate about the service they deliver.

**What you’ll need**

To be successful in this role, you must:

- Be able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
- Have a strong customer focus with the ability to relate to people at all levels
- Have a sense of urgency and work with speed and accuracy
- Be a great problem solver
- Maintain your composure and help keep passengers calm in high stress situations
- Have impeccable attention to detail and a talent for multi-tasking
- Have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a moderate level of physical fitness as some lifting of passenger's luggage is required
- Access to private transport will be required as the hours of work will not always fit in with public transport. There is free parking at the Terminal for staff._
