The purpose of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) group is to work in partnership with the rest of the organisation to provide digital technology and communications solutions that support excellence in policing and service delivery and enable Police’s strategic ambitions.
With a primary hub in Wellington, and a presence throughout the country, we deliver new and enhanced solutions directly and through specialist vendor partnerships. We provide expert advice on how technology can be leveraged to support Police’s strategies and turn concepts into reality through collaborative development.
The Manager - Product Planning and Delivery (ICT) plays a pivotal role in bringing our various product and project teams together to facilitate integrated planning, ensuring dependencies are well understood and the plan is achievable. They ensure there is a consolidated view of demand and implement the planning frameworks that agree what demand will be delivered and when. They contribute to the development and lead the performance reporting frameworks for the product teams and prepare the aggregated performance reports to demonstrate delivery against the agreed and funded roadmap.
As the Manager Product Planning and Delivery, you will be joining the ICT team at an exciting time. We are implementing a new approach to technology delivery that will ensure a more connected, timely and efficient planning and delivery cycle. You will be able to own and shape the planning component of this. Your previous experience in large scale, big room planning and facilitation will be valued and fast track our transformation to our more modern way of working

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Design and implement the product planning framework.
- Responsible for the planning, delivery, and facilitation of a new integrated quarterly planning approach, drawing inputs from demand management, capacity and capability, and backlogs.
- Integrating programme and project planning into quarterly product planning cadences.
- Design and implement monthly product performance reporting
