**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborating with the active Duty Manager to ensure the safety and security of our patrons and our team
- Greeting patrons and verifying their age and identification
- Handling money and door sales
- Assessing patrons' intoxication levels and refusing entry to those who are too intoxicated
- Removing intoxicated patrons from the premises
- Conducting surveillance of the premises and occupants within
- Monitoring and addressing any security concerns, including theft and violence
- Interacting with patrons in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensuring the front of the business and reception is kept clear and tidy at all times
**Requirements**:
- 18 years or older
- Active COA (Certificate of Approval - New Zealand Security Licence)
- Availability between 9 pm to 4:30 am (2:30 minimum) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the potential of extra shifts on the weekends
- Discreet, honest, and friendly demeanor
- Excellent customer service and handling skills
- Well-presented with a professional and approachable demeanor
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week
**Salary**: $23.65 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dunedin, Otago: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Certificate of Approval (COA) (required)
