**Starting salary**: $70,819 - $82,610 negotiable + superannuation

Te tūnga | The role
We are looking to welcome an experienced Executive Assistant to work alongside our GM Statistical Change and Assurance and to provide support for other senior Insights and Statistics managers.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced executive assistant. You will be joining a complex environment that is focused on delivering data that improves lives today and for generations to come.
While the GM is based in Christchurch, our Insights and Statistics team is dispersed across the country so you'll use technology to its fullest to keep connected and your finger on the pulse.
Nōu te rourou | What you bring
As a master of the calendar and events you'll coordinate work deadlines, appointments and meetings, presentations, travel and accommodation bookings, organising meetings off-site, and fielding general queries for your leader. You will have governance experience and be familiar with agenda setting and minute taking protocol. Similarly, you'll be technically savvy and comfortable using Microsoft products, information management systems or content management software.
Working in a calm and professional manner you bring discretion, adaptability and a can-do attitude. You manage problems and challenges with confidence and can handle last minute changes; taking charge and making decision.
We encourage and consider transferable skills and experience gained from outside of work e.g., cultural, community work, sports, volunteering, or a comparable role in a different sector or industry.
To hit in the ground running we're hoping you can draw on your proven experience and demonstrate the following skills:

- Demonstrated Executive Assistance and are the right hand to the key managers that you have worked with
- Demonstrated experience preparing documents, preparing meeting agendas and recording detailed meeting minutes, booking travel, event coordination and recruitment support
- Highly organised with experience working in a governance structure
- Comfortable working as part of a team but also equally comfortable working across other areas of the organisation
- Work in a high trust environment where you have autonomy over your work
- About your knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori
- How you've demonstrated, encouraged, or supported diversity and inclusion in or outside of work
- Where you've demonstrated leadership, e.g., led by example, demonstrated problem solving, owned a project or piece of work, spoken up for yourself or others
- Where you've shown curiosity and tried new things, taken on other perspectives, challenged the norm, learned, and applied or shared your learnings.
