We're a trusted contract chemistry development and manufacturing partner to some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies and fast-growing biotech start-ups and are looking for a talented GMP Operator to join our manufacturing team.

**He angitūtanga**: The opportunity
Performing day to day operations in various areas within the manufacturing department, ensuring products are produced to required standards and meet customer demand. You'll be responsible for contributing to the setup & manufacture of GMP pharmaceutical products -- directly contributing to delivering GlycoSyn's mission to improve lives through cutting edge science. Surrounded by highly experienced teammates, you will become cross skilled in all areas of manufacturing operations, developing your expertise in the art of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

This is a role people from a range of backgrounds could thrive. Possibly you have a pharmaceutical background, and already understand the intricacies of a highly regulated industry, like the GMP world we operate in (and at the core of this role). Maybe you have a hi-tech manufacturing background, with experience delivering complex products. Or, your expertise may be in Engineering or Chemistry (or other technical field), and you've taken time out into manufacturing operations.
What's non-negotiable is that you thrive in the details, love delivering complex manufacturing, are a team player & get satisfaction from exceeding client's expectations.

**What you bring**:

- High standards. You're a GMP Manufacturing Operator with experience (5 to 10 years) in chemical processing or pharmaceutical products in cGMP environments. You can carry out operations such as extractions, filtration, product drying and distillations.
- Experience working in a GMP Quality Management System or similar highly regulated environment.
- You bring a science mindset, you have a tertiary degree in science, engineering or similar and understand the complexities of chemical manufacturing and handling chemicals within a R&D environment.
- You're good with people. Proven record that you are a team player and are adept at working in a cross functional team.
- You naturally take initiative & have a hunger to learn. This comes through in how you use technology, communicate with peers & follow internal SOPs. You actively contribute to improving our ways of working.

What You Do
- Operating and maintaining equipment and performing tasks and processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adhering to industry regulations, in particular GMP.
- Document tasks on appropriate batch documentation (Batch Records, Cleaning Logs, etc.).
- Updating and writing GMP documentation.
- Housekeeping and maintaining cleaning practices.
- Communicating clearly with other members of the Manufacturing Team and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of work.
- Contribute to the achievement of objectives including improving safety performance, reducing deviations, improving productivity, and training compliance.
- Adhering to all safety standards, wearing all necessary personal protective equipment and taking responsibility for own and others safety.
- Attain and maintain training competency for equipment operation and duties assigned in the area.
