Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role
The Advisor Payroll assists and supports the timely and accurate delivery of end-to-end payroll processes and our Station Management System (SMS) function. The position holder is responsible for processing changes to personnel and payroll data including quality assurance and peer review, and providing advice which complies with varying employment agreements, relevant legislation and organisation policies. This role also assists the maintenance of roster information in our SMS and providing advice and support to SMS users.

The key to your success will be your ability to support the business through excellent customer service, collaboration with the Payroll Team and the wider People Branch, and your commitment to continuous improvement. You will bring a familiarity with all aspects of payroll systems and processes.
**To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have**:
- Working knowledge and understanding of New Zealand employment and payroll related legislation including but not limited to, the Holiday's Act, the Wages Protection Act and the Privacy Act
- The ability to accurately interpret terms and conditions in employment agreements and policies
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
- Familiarity and knowledge of accounting systems and practices
- An understanding of how rostering systems work with payroll would be an advantage

The salary range for this role is $71,283 -$79,204 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
