**We’re looking for a Payroll Advisor to join and become part of our One Winning Team**
- Full time, permanent position
- Based at Wellington Railway Station
- Support the full payroll lifecycle
**What you’ll do**
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll support the team with the end-to-end processing of payroll for around 5,000 employees. This includes gathering, calculating and inputting data to deliver accurate and timely payroll services for KiwiRail. This is an office-based role, as you’ll collaborate with others in the Payroll team to maintain cross-cover support and to meet recurring deadlines. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the running of the three fortnightly payrolls (including 24/7 rostered, timesheet employees)
- Gathering, calculating and inputting data
- Creating and updating employee records
- Support and review processes surrounding ACC
- Interpretation of legislation and staff agreements both individual (IEA) and collective (CEA)
**What you’ll need**
You’ll have a 2+ years’ experience in a complex in house payroll environment along with extensive knowledge of Payroll/HR related legislation and compliance.
**In addition, you’ll have**:
- Experience with payroll systems, making changes and regression testing with upgrades
- Working experience in payroll data with the ability to produce payroll reports
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with the Jade Star payroll system is advantageous
- Working knowledge of the Holidays Act is desirable
