**About the Role**

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will service, repair, and maintain motor vehicles in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. All while maintaining a safe environment under the supervision of the Mechanic or Service Manager.

All work will be within company standards, all appropriate laws and regulations and reflect the Company’s values.
- Key Responsibilities will include: _
- Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturers’ specifications and company standards, including carrying out minor repairs and preventative maintenance checks on fleet vehicles (e.g. replacing fluids, changing oil/air filter, tyres, brakes, ski racks etc.) including cars, trucks and company fleet
- Monitor inventory and request order of new parts when necessary, with Service Administrator Assemble mechanical components according to specifications
- Perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems
- Complete Repair Orders
- Providing breakdown assistance when necessary
- Preparing vehicles for handback and sales.
- Testing and general servicing of workshop equipment for safety.
- Keeping accurate and on-time job records and recording servicing history in applicable systems
- Attend company/manufacturer training as necessary
- Working efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplishing organisational goals under limited supervision
- Conducting work in a safe manner, complying with Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental policies, procedures and being familiar with emergency evacuation procedures to eliminate or minimise workplace health and safety risks. This includes the reporting of all accidents, near accidents and hazards.
- Adhering to Company Quality Assurance and Uniform Guidelines.
- Other reasonable duties as requested by the Service Manager.

**What we are looking for**:

- Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence (including manual vehicles) is essential for this role. Class 2/4 driver’s licence will be seen as beneficial.
- Previous experience working as a motor mechanic with a trade qualification in motor mechanics being highly advantageous.
- Experience in petrol and diesel motors desirable but not required as is previous working experience within the car rental industry.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation relevant to role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level attention to detail with solid problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
