Our client has been a trusted name in the heavy vehicle repair and maintenance industry for over 25 years, with six fully equipped workshops, they ensure easy access to top-notch services for fleet owners in their districts.
Our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic ready to step into a hands-on Workshop Foreman role. Working Monday to Saturday, from 3 PM to 11 PM, you will lead a team of three mechanics on the night shift, overseeing their work and providing guidance and support to ensure the workshop runs efficiently and smoothly.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of three mechanics on the night shift
- Oversee maintenance and repair work to ensure quality and efficiency
- Manage workflow and allocate tasks to meet deadlines
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Complete any relevant paperwork
About you:
- 10+ years of experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Up to Class 4 license (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work Monday to Saturday, from 3 PM to 11 PM
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
