**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora has recently restructured many of the enabling functions, including the communications team, which support its clinical services.

We are now looking for communications professionals, across a variety of disciplines, who want a unique, exciting and solid opportunity to be part of a diverse group committed to serving its community and supporting its health workforce.

This is a newly designed team with exceptional skill sets, and we are looking for others who want a career with purpose and to make a difference.
- provide trusted and valued, specialist support and advice to the Communications Team Lead in the delivery of the operational expectations of the team.
- work alongside the Communications Team Lead and other senior leaders to enable the delivery of the organisational priorities of Te Whatu Ora/Health NZ, and to drive continuous improvement in processes and practices within the team.
- provide thought leadership, specialist knowledge and expert advice into the development and delivery of media and communication strategies, to realise operational goals of the team.
- find new and effective ways to enhance our all communications.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- At least eight years' experience working in communication roles, with a minimum four years working closely with leaders. Experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams where several communications activities (i.e., media, design, strategic planning, stakeholder management), are needed to achieve an optimal communications outcome.
- Proven success engaging and influencing diverse stakeholder groups and success developing and delivering projects/plans that have had a positive impact on organisations.
- Able to draw on experience in varied environments with experience in high-pressure fast-moving environments where success relied on building effective relationships and delivering sound advice.
- Experience in assimilating new information quickly and write and talk about issues clearly and concisely with different audiences. Has organising, planning and time management skills so able to multitask, reprioritise and react to issues that arise whilst keeping calm and professional in demanding situations.
