The Principal Advisor will be primarily responsible for supporting our extensive work programme in collaboration with the Operations Support Manager and the National Service Delivery (NSD) leadership team. Managing and maintaining oversight of significant NSD initiatives is a key objective of this position.
This position sits within the Operations Support team, NSD and is responsible for the planning and delivery of complex and innovative projects that support NSD to deliver services in line with key strategies.
You will also be involved in lifting the capability of the wider NSD Operations Support team by coaching and mentoring employees and may also be required to lead employees in a project environment.
**He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience**
You will have a sound understanding of how to support service delivery and business improvement through a service design methodology in a complex and changing environment.
You will need to be an experienced writer for this role and be confident developing documents for multiple audiences. In addition, skills in stakeholder management and the building of constructive and effective relationships will be important.
**_ Education/Professional Qualifications and Technical Skills:_**
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Able to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations
**_Work Experience:_**
- Providing strategic advice at a principal level in a public sector organisation, or other experience in a relevant field
- Providing intellectual and professional leadership across and within organisations, including experience mentoring and developing junior staff and peers
- Leading complex projects to successful completion

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**
Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $103,540 to $146,174 - the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, however we are likely to appoint between $103,540 and $135,211.
