Join Zespri's Quality Team for an Unbeatable Kiwifruit Season
At Zespri, we take Kiwifruit quality seriously, and we're gearing up for an exceptional 2025 season. We're on the lookout for passionate individuals who share our commitment to excellence in Kiwifruit quality to join our Quality Team.
As a key member of our Quality Team, your primary role will be to conduct thorough audits of Kiwifruit at packhouse and coolstore facilities. Your mission? To ensure strict adherence to the Zespri Quality System and Specifications, guaranteeing that every piece of fruit meets our impeccable standards.
Based in beautiful Bay of Plenty, you'll have the opportunity to explore various regional facilities across the Greater Bay of Plenty, South Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Whanganui, Gisborne, and surrounding areas.
We have several fixed-term and permanent seasonal contract positions available for the kiwifruit season from March to October, based in the Bay of Plenty.
Key responsibilities include:
- Become a Zespri Product Assessor: Attain and uphold the necessary qualifications to assess Zespri products.
- Conduct Audits: Methodically audit allocated facilities, maintaining a comprehensive audit plan.
- Collaborate with Quality Assessors: Partner closely with Quality Assessors to ensure consistent auditing across all aspects of facilities.
- Industry Communication: Effectively communicate Zespri's quality requirements to industry stakeholders, fostering robust quality systems.
- Issue Resolution: Address and report on quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with industry personnel involved in Quality & Compliance, enhancing collaboration and compliance efforts.

To be successful in this role, you will meet the following selection criteria:
- Kiwifruit Industry Experience: Demonstrated knowledge or experience in kiwifruit grade standards, product assessments/inspection, or industry Quality Control (QC) is highly preferred.
- Literacy and Numeracy Skills: Ability to complete accurate audit reports and handle numerical tasks with precision.
- Driver's License and Reliable Vehicle: Possession of a current full NZ driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various facilities is essential.
- Visual Acuity: Capability to pass an eyesight test to the required level, renewable every two years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Confidence in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
