The MBIE Technology Operations team is seeking an enthusiastic and committed ICT Service Continuity expert. We are a small high performing team that work in a fast-paced environment as part of the Digital Operations, Digital, Data & Insights Group. The team support the successful day to day operation of technology services at MBIE and the Principal Advisor ICT Service Continuity is an integral part. We’re seeking an expert who will be responsible for the assurance activities across the planning, implementation and testing of IT Service Continuity plans for the MBIE ICT environment.

The position works closely with the Technology Operations team, the Service Design and Readiness team and the Major Incident Manager. The Principal Advisor IT Service Continuity is supported by a small team of DR analysts to ensure systems and services restoration aligns with business priorities.

The Principal Advisor IT Service Continuity contributes to the operational activity of the Digital Operations branch, ensuring the delivery and operation of ICT technology in the multi
- outsourced model in place at MBIE.

The Principal Advisor IT Service Continuity is responsible for providing quality and consistent advice and practices to support their team’s work and the wider MBIE ICT environment.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and experience required:

- 5+ years experience across a variety of ICT Operations environments.
- Deep experience in one or a number of the following areas; system management, integration activities and management of outsource vendor contracts.
- Skilled at coaching and mentoring others
- Demonstrates strong facilitation skills.
- ITIL Management Framework experience in any of the Service Operations function (Event, Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity, ITSCM and Continued Service Improvement. ITIL Certification will be beneficial.
- A proven track record in IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) and can demonstrate high level of experience operating assurance / risk based managed ITSCM processes and exercises.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively across all operational levels of the organisation as well as with suppliers and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in technology management, information management, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience; and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
