We are excited to be partnering with our client who operates in the manufacturing and distribution of specialized industrial and chemical solutions to bring to market the role of Technical Manufacturing Manager, a newly formed, critical role for the NZ arm of this ANZ business.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Overseeing all technical and people aspects of chemical manufacturing operations at two key sites, including process development, optimization, regulatory compliance, H&S, and scale-up as the business grows
- Have oversight of the procurement and planning function to ensure to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials through to production and maintenance.
- Implementation and maintenance of a knowledge management system to capture critical technical and operational data.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality, whilst allowing for NPD introduction and a focus around effective customer service
- Develop and implement training programs to improve technical knowledge and skills among manufacturing staff
- Manage production schedules and ensure that manufacturing processes are completed on time and within budget
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes
- Develop and manage the budget for the technical manufacturing department.

**What we are looking for in you, the successful applicant**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical manufacturing management in a reputable manufacturer in New Zealand or Australia
- Strong technical knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, including scale-up and optimization
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement efforts and optimize manufacturing processes, with exposure of LEAN, Six Sigma or similar
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and lead a high-performing technical manufacturing team
