Auckland is currently dealing with unprecedented growth and the funding, phasing and provision of infrastructure is vital to support this.

At the Development Programme Office you will be an important part of multi-disciplinary teams working on major programmes of work in our growth areas. This will provide you with exposure to large and complex development and infrastructure projects, great experience around scoping, funding and phasing of infrastructure and development in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing your work is contributing to the growth of Auckland and the well-being of those living in it

As an Infrastructure Funding Agreement Specialist, you will be integral to Council's infrastructure funding and commercial agreements and their negotiation. You’ll work closely with developers, infrastructure providers and Council specialists.

**You can expect to**:

- Provide detailed funding agreement and contract advice, coupled with general commercial input,
- Ensure that infrastructure development plans are informed by sound market evidence, feasibility and risk assessments and have a robust delivery strategy and framework,
- Assist the Head of Infrastructure Funding Agreements and DPO programme managers in contractual negotiations with the developer or infrastructure provider, and co-ordination of the relevant technical, legal and financial inputs from other Council specialists.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

We are looking for a driven and goal orientated individual who has the ability to lead and influence key stakeholders, as well as drive results across a multifaceted business.

You have a desire to be fully informed and inform and advise others with the highest level of certainty and accuracy, and the aptitude to work proactively and initiatively to keep momentum even in challenging situations.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Experience in drafting, negotiation and managing agreements,
- Knowledge of the built environment (infrastructure or construction) and planning,
- Understanding of the working and functions of development market dynamics, feasibility, risks and reward,
- A natural ability to find and negotiate solutions in a complex, legislative, policy and funding driven environment,
- An understanding of the local government environment.

It is likely you will have related degree or relevant tertiary qualification (i.e.: Asset Management, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Property, Law or related discipline).
