Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler ensures routine maintenance and equipment /facility breakdown service to maximize plant output while ensuring best overall cost, customer satisfaction, safety and regulatory compliance for our Animal Health New Zealand business.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to plan the maintenance team activities including routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance and training. This role is also responsible for completion of engineering documentation review and engineering legislative and corporate compliance requirements, as well as management of the engineering spare parts and inventory for the Upper Hutt and Whitemans Valley sites.
The Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler sits within the Global Animal Health Manufacturing organization and reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maximising plant uptime and maintaining services for the site.
- Producing maintenance, calibration, validation and utilities monthly and yearly plans that will ensure all work is scheduled and monitored to completion while addressing manufacturing needs and minimising outages.
- Ensuring all maintenance due dates are accurate in the maintenance Schedule.
- Following up on each Work Order to ensure job is complete and details are correctly entered in the maintenance system.
- Reviewing, completing and filing all maintenance /engineering documentation including but not limited to; Maintenance Sheets, Instrumentation Calibration Sheets, Room/Area Certification Reports, etc.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Completed secondary school level New Zealand's National Certificates of Educational Achievement (NCEA) or equivalent at host country with a module in English reading/writing.
- Minimum 5 years post tertiary related experience in a related field
- Must have good computer skills, especially in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal English.
Desirable
- Experience with GMP, GLP or ISO 9000 in a production environment is an advantage
- Experience with planning and scheduling software preferred
- Skills in MS PowerPoint desirable
- Previous planning or scheduling experience preferred
