We are looking for an experienced project manager with government experience to support a large government organisation within Auckland, a great opportunity to utilise your experience supporting the communities impacted by extreme weather events.
- ASAP Start 4-month assignment - June 30th 2024
- $140 per hour + 8% Holiday Pay
- Auckland CBD location

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- Provide direction and leadership, setting clear strategies, outcomes, and milestones.
- Establish and facilitate effective governance for the workstream.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify vulnerable populations and implement initial strategies to address specific accommodation needs, understanding that sustained efforts may require future initiatives.
- Facilitate community engagement initiatives, providing residents with information on available coordination services and laying the foundation for ongoing community awareness.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities for enabling development that align with long-term community needs.

**About You**
- Programme management experience.
- Experience and expertise building and maintaining strategic level relationships with executive leaders, senior government officials and politicians (local and central).
- Strategic thinking to align temporary coordination efforts with broader community recovery objectives.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in addressing the unique challenges of temporary housing solutions.
- Demonstrated empathy and cultural competence in working with individuals and families facing displacement.
- Resilience - a demonstrated ability to persevere through periods of heavy workload and stressful situations.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop plans, and monitor them, and produce high quality reporting.
