**About the role**

An opportunity for a Skipper for the Mussel Farm vessel the Erin a < 24m vessel has become available. The Erin has a good record of training new staff to fit into our business - the new skipper on this vessel will carry on this good work.

The main work of the role includes contributing to the daily mussel harvest, seeding of spat, reseeding & block work, weekly maintenance/cleaning of equipment. Assisting with tasks on the Salmon Farm may include salmon nets, block work.

This is a full-time permanent position, working Sunday to Thursday on Stewart Island. Accommodation is available.

**What you need to be successful in this role**:
Your good communication and ability to work well in a team are key skills. Youll be innovative, good at building relationships, and display the company values through all your actions and decision making.
- You will need to have a current SRL / ILM / CLM ticket certificate
- Current maritime medical
- Current workplace First Aid Certificate
- A practical understanding of responsibilities of MOSS regulations
- A good level of experience in all areas of work the Erin undertakes
