This role will enable you to get broad exposure across the full range of Organisational Development initiatives within a small, busy and agile agency.

**About the opportunity | Ngā whakamārama mō te tūnga**

The role of the Senior OD Adviser works closely with the HR team to design, develop, deliver and implement organisational development solutions and tools for the Ministry.

We're looking for an experienced Senior OD Adviser to support our wider HR team to deliver our HR and Ministry work programme.

You will have a broad scope in all areas of OD for the Ministry.

Specifically, you will:

- have a strong focus on our learning and development area and will be responsible for organising the common capability plan for the Ministry which includes leadership development
- contribute to the development of a graduate programme for 2025
- lead the review and refresh of our performance expectation frameworks
- lead the review of our approach to induction and onboarding
- develop and enhance our career progression frameworks, pathways and strategy
- develop, lead and contribute to initiatives for our diversity, equity and inclusion committee and strategy
- develop and contribute to the development of retention strategies, recognition and reward plans and strategies
- develop and contribute to policies, procedures and guidelines
- enjoy achieving results and working as part of a team.

**What you’ll bring | Te wāhi ki a koe**

We’re looking for someone who is curious and good at identifying and making linkages and connections across work programmes. Your pragmatism, problem solving, and analytical skills will assist you to understand and achieve business outcomes and to contribute to and deliver our HR/OD work programme. In addition, you will have:

- previous public sector experience working in OD at a senior level
- demonstrated experience in leading, developing and implementing a wide range of organisational development initiatives a good understanding of cultural awareness, ensuring we honour our obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi
- a team based approach and collaboration skills with the ability to engage, build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships, connections and networks at all levels.

**Salary range | Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau**

The salary band for the role is $108,126 to $143,618. The salary offered will be based on skills and experience.
