**About the role**
The Asset Manager role is to develop, protect and manage sportsground assets owned by the council to provide the community with the facilities and services they need in our open spaces. This includes:
- Supporting the annual capital works programme and contributing to project management
- Preparing reports and advice to Council
- To prepare and provide input into business and asset management plans, manages contracts and other important planning documents relevant to the management of assets.
- To prepare, monitor and manage budgets and sections of the Annual Plan in respect of the portfolio activities.
**About you**
- Proven ability to lead staff, develop talent and a high performance culture
- Experience in management of development of public spaces
- Experience in budgeting and financial management
- Producing high level strategic and operational reports
- Experience in community engagement
