Financial assistant/ accountant required to work on a permanent full time basis and/or part time basis as part of a small dynamic team. Must be a fantastic communicator, helpful and have a can-do attitude.

We have a group of businesses in the accommodation sector for which we provide management services to, including accounts administration and financial compliance including year end financial statements and income tax requirements.

**Responsibilities and duties**
- Receiving invoices, obtaining approval for payment, input of invoices into MYOB and Xero software and arranging payment thereof.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors when required.
- Co-ordination of insurance policies.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Inter-entity agreements and on billing.
- Preparation of Annual Reports and financial statements and income tax returns for multiple entities and entity types (companies, trusts, partnerships etc).
- Preparation of taxation compliance returns including GST, FBT, PAYE and payment thereof. Monitoring and attending to all taxation correspondence.
- Preparation of general ledger reconciliations and analysis at year end and periodically during the year.
- Ad hoc financial reporting as required.
- Maintaining of a vehicle register and arranging for vehicle licences to be up to date.
- Accounts queries.
- Special projects.
- General Accounting.
- General office assistance.
- **Attributes**:

- Experience in Financial Accounting
- Knowledge and ability to work with MYOB and Xero
- High level of experience working with MS Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as a team member

This is an office based role in Paraparaumu.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
