**About Us**:
Maruia Hot Springs Ltd is located in the remote Lewis Pass National Park 2.5 hours away from Christchurch. We are a Hot Springs resort that uses 100% natural mineral water throughout our pools. There are only 2 natural commercial bathing facilities in the South Island, the other being Hanmer Springs. We offer our guests a unique and memorable experience, our vision is to become a world class hot springs resort. We are committed to excellence and innovation in all aspects of our operations. To achieve this we have new developments scheduled for the next 6-8 months to bring our resort up to a higher standard.
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns tailored to Chinese-speaking audiences.
- Maintain and update the company’s website with current information, promotions, and blog posts.
- Create and manage Chinese social media accounts, including content scheduling, posting, and engagement with followers.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape within the Chinese market.
- Collaborate with the team to align marketing efforts with business goals and target the Chinese-speaking market.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for advertising, design, and promotional materials in Chinese.
- Support the development and management of marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Handle administrative tasks related to marketing, including maintaining marketing databases and mailing lists.
- Manage the company’s presence on Chinese travel and review websites, responding to guest inquiries and reviews.
- Assist in organizing and promoting events and special promotions targeting Chinese guests.
- Translate marketing materials, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy.
- Identify market opportunities and advise on the development of the Chinese tourist market.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree, or other relevant study in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- The applicant should have some previous experience in marketing or a related role.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, be able to translate marketing material and website information to Chinese customers.
- Proficiency in Chinese marketing software and tools, and social media management platforms.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative marketing ideas.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Applicant must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand, must hold residency or a work visa.
