**The Opportunity - Te tūranga**:
We are hiring a **Data Visualisation Specialist** to join our Data Engineering team. This role is crucial in constructing data solutions and catalysing change through insightful data analysis. As a bridge between our data engineering squad and TVNZ's diverse user base, you will:
- Partner with internal stakeholders to craft complex engineering solutions that address strategic business inquiries through data.
- Lead the development of advanced data engineering solutions utilizing our Azure Data Platform.
- Develop and maintain intricate feature layer data models to maximize TVNZ's data value, ensuring high quality and maintainability.
- Curate, organize, and document data definitions, metrics, and reporting environments across Azure Data Lake and PowerBI, enhancing value and efficiency while upholding data quality.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to create innovative analytical products.
- Drive automation and leverage data to refine processes and decision-making across TVNZ.
- Support the Data Engineers and Data Visualisation teams in creating accessible data resources and corporate dashboards.
- Advocate for best practices in advanced engineering and analytics.
**What We're Looking For - Tā mātou e kimi nei**:
- A strong communicator capable of discussing data with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative professional with experience engaging with senior stakeholders and executives.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in analytics engineering.
- Proven leadership in analytical engineering projects from inception to operationalization.
- Hands-on expertise in programming/scripting languages like Python, and querying languages such as SQL, Dax, or M query (in PowerBI context).
- A solid track record in Data Modelling within enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, preferably Azure, and experience with Big Data challenges using platforms like Apache Spark.
- Proficiency in metadata management, data governance, and data visualization in Power BI, with a strong portfolio of data analytics visualizations and dashboards.
