The ASB Credit Risk Management team are looking for a **Senior Credit Risk Specialist **to join the team on a 12 months fixed term contract. Reporting directly to our Chapter Lead - Projects and taking a lead role in ensuring the credit risk aspects of our business lending platform & Credit Risk architecture transformation projects are delivered successfully.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Owning and leading streams of work within strategic projects, acting as a liaison between the project, the business and Credit Risk Compelling influence over scope, design and priority
- People/thought leadership & influence within project squads, without line management
- Stakeholder management
- Clear planning that shows vision for future state
- Communicating complex credit risk management concepts in a manner that can be translated into distilled, widely understandable requirements.

**M**ō**u |About you**:

- End to end lending process experience across the spectrum of credit origination methods, including retail and corporate
- Practical experience with credit risk tools including auto-decisioning, servicing strategy, credit bureau integration, valuation strategy, and scoring models
- Experience with modifying existing policy and process to make system changes quicker and easier to deliver.
- Unrivalled curiosity, problem-solving ability and bravery to challenge existing thinking. All linked to a passion to deliver the best solutions we can.
- Respect for the data assets that flow from lending systems and an understanding of the importance of system design on the quality and usability of data.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and confidence to
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation (written & verbal)
- Practical and hands-on experience and relevant qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing internal environment
