Where you'll be working
Te Pae Tawhiti - Our Future, is about the Ministry of Social Development's (MSD) future role and how MSD can make a bigger and better difference for New Zealanders.
The Future Services is a programme of work that sits under the Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme responsible for designing an integrated service model which will enable people and whānau to receive personalised income, employment, housing and community services and support. This work is essential to delivering on Te Pae Tawhiti - Our Future.

**Key responsibilities within the position will include**:

- Ensuring team plans are defined, prioritised and of high quality. The highest value work is prioritised and the backlog is prioritised and refined
- Participating in and leading team events - planning and refining sessions
- Attending relevant meetings to ensure coordination and alignment
- Driving the programme of work that the team is looking to achieve and the associated outcomes ensuring quality delivery of work through to the end user
- Be strategically minded and have a good understanding of MSD key priorities and the wider employment eco-system and integrated work programme
- Manage responses to the transformation office, including issues and risks
- Provide high level, succinct advice to a variety of audiences
- Support and at times represent the Director at meetings

**We're looking for**:

- A strong commitment for supporting New Zealanders
- Previous experience and knowledge working in an agile environment
- Previous experience working in a Delivery Lead role or similar
- Experience in the successful delivery of time critical work pieces
- A good understanding of the mechanics of government
- Proven experience in working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in navigating across the business to ensure contribution to the work is timely and impactful
- The ability to create a positive and productive team environment

Position Description

**Salary range**: $117,349.00 - $146,034.00
