**The Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing and optimising our warehouse and logistics operations on a national scale. You will develop ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer service levels.

The main responsibilities of this role include..
- To provide leadership across the Synlait warehouse and logístical functions Including the management of road transport, container movements, warehousing and storage of raw materials, consumables, finished goods and engineering spares
- Build a high performing team with strong health and safety culture
- Develop and implement warehouse and logistics operational plans and strategies to improve operational efficiency and meet company objectives
- Oversee the day to day operations of a multi warehouse operation ensuring compliance with safety, quality, regulatory and productivity standards
- Exhibit strong cost control and deliver year on year cost savings and efficiencies
- Monitor and analyse Key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and continuous improvement actions
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative ideas and best practices
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in warehouse and logistics management

Key to your success will be your ability to collaborate cross functionally across the business to deliver excellent service levels to our customers.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this role will require
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a large and diverse team and build strong team culture
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (EWM or advanced EWM preferable)
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

A Tertiary qualification is required and a membership of a recognised Supply Chain Industry body is highly regarded in this role as is previous 10 + year experience in senior warehouse and logistics management roles on a National scale preferably in an FMCG or Dairy environment.
