The successful applicant to become trained as a designated Medical Officer of Health _(if they are not already). _As a designated MOoH, you will be able to participate in the on-call roster and undertake statutory duties as a designated MOoH.

As a key member of the Te Waipounamu National Public Health Service, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Providing professional leadership for public health/population health.
- Working in partnership with colleagues to ensure the quality of public health work.
- Providing advice to ensure a cohesive, effective, and equitable health system.

**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills**: _Essential:_
- Vocational registration in public health medicine.
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Proven knowledge of equity models and practice.
- Understanding of the New Zealand health sector.
- Current Annual Practising Certificate or eligible for one.
