This is a permanent role based in Auckland.
This company is a rapidly expanding off-site training organization dedicated to upskilling the staff of their clients across NZ. As they extend their presence in New Zealand, we seek an inspiring individual to take on the role of Regional Health & Safety Lead in Auckland.
**The Role**: In this pivotal position, you will collaborate closely with property and facilities management teams, conducting comprehensive site assessments, implementing robust mitigation processes, and ensuring a secure work environment across the Auckland region. You will spearhead our safety initiatives, diligently report incidents, and formulate comprehensive policies and procedures. Seamless collaboration with stakeholders, ranging from regional managers to on-site tutors, will be key to your success.
You will be in charge of directly implementing the Health and Safety strategy across the Auckland - Whangarei region. Your day to day will involve visiting the sites, managing incidents, risk assessments and mitigation, identifying new risks and writing policies.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
- 3+ years of experience in a Health and Safety role (at advisor level or above) in a medium-large organisation
- In depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Level 4 and above OHS qualification essential, level 6 and above OHS qualification preferred
- Ability to lead the Health and Safety function for the region
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful health and safety programmes.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, initiate change and promote a culture of safety.
