**Network Transport Manager**

Our transport team is looking for a leader to support the Head of Transport during our current growth phase. Leading a team across four North Island sites, a comprehensive understanding of Transport, Warehousing, and Logistics is essential for success.

Cardinal is a leading partner to many of New Zealand’s well known companies in food, beverage, grocery and personal healthcare. We offer an end-to-end logistics solution to our customers, which offers the opportunity for our team members to develop, upskill and progress within the business.

- Working to improve operations processes with the outcome of attaining greater efficiency and Profit and Loss results
- Transport process planning, management and execution
- Co-ordination and management of outbound operations across our North Island facilities
- Monitoring and evaluating KPIs to assess the performance of container operations
- Reporting to management and stakeholders, highlighting performance metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Partnering with Senior Management to ensure seamless container operations and efficient reporting processes
- Overseeing Driver and dispatch standards, ensuring they are kept at a high level
- Building meaningful relationship with Cardinal’s partner carriers
- Increasing customer engagement
- Leading and mentoring your team to reach their full potential. Designing onboarding plans to ensure employee retention
- Minimum of 7 year’s experience working within transport, logistics and/or supply chain
- Operational experience in Transport, Warehousing and/or Logistics. Ideally with experience in a variety of freight and logistics businesses
- Experience managing all aspects of complex freight facilities
- Pallet management experience including managing pallet loss
- People management experience
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, external stakeholders, and shipping partners
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation, data entry, and reporting
- Proficiency in using transport and management software, data analysis tools, and relevant technology platforms
- Strong, proactive decision-making skills to make informed judgments and prioritize tasks
