Our Surgical Directorate are committed to the delivery of sustainable, high quality healthcare with a key focus on developing and supporting clinical teams through a culture of safety and excellence. We have an exciting new opportunity for you to join us and make a real difference in our directorate in the role of Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
In this role you will be providing support and leadership to the wards within the Surgical Directorate after hours (afternoons and weekends), helping support the ward co-ordinators with efficient patient flow, safe staffing and clinical support.
Working collaboratively with the Charge Nurses and Nurse Unit Managers, you will be key in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical nursing care to patients and their whānau. On a daily basis you will be demonstrating clinical and professional leadership, leading and supporting nursing teams in all aspects of nursing care management within their wards.

You will be a valued member of a collaborative team and we will provide a thorough orientation as well as on-going support and training.
This is a 6 months fixed term/ fulltime position working 40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will ideally be an experienced senior Registered Nurse with leadership experience in a tertiary hospital preferably within surgical services.
- Be an experienced Nurse and will have or working towards completion of Postgraduate certificate / diploma in nursing or health related area.
- Have minimum Level 4 practice
- Be able to demonstrate effectiveness in direction and delegation of nursing teams
- Commitment to providing excellent care
