We work within the public utilities and services space with a particular focus on waters infrastructure, open spaces, city cleaning, general civil works and nursery services. We deliver a range of operations and maintenance services under long term contracts, as well as taking on specific project works.

Infracore’s Utilities department specialize in operating and maintaining public water infrastructure across the two water systems:

- Storm water
- Drinking water

We offer a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation, maintenance and repair service to ensure these essential water services are delivered to a professional standard.

The drinking water team covers every aspect of water in its’ journey from the spring to your tap including:

- Managing water treatment, sampling and testing
- Operating and maintaining pumps and bores
- Carrying out infrastructure repair work
- Liaising with the public and consumers on water service matters
- Running leak detection programmes
- Proving, testing and operating valves and hydrants
- Pressure and flow testing networks
- Monitoring network telemetry
- Problem solving and investigating issues in the reticulation system.

**About the role**

This role will be a part of our Drinking Water Team looking after Rotorua's water systems providing clean water to our taps. Tasks includes:

- Successfully deliver complete water reticulation network maintenance and construction services
- Set up and clean-up work sites
- Operation, maintenance and monitoring of pump stations and reservoirs
- Backflow installation and maintenance testing
- Vegetation maintenance
- Water sampling and testing

**About you**

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has Level 4 Water Reticulation qualification (or working towards)
- Has a current NZ drivers license
- Is highly detail focused
- Can work in a methodical manner
- Can use online app based programme to record inspections
- Has Strong communication skills
- Is adaptable
- Proven capability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Understanding and commitment to hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Be physically fit,
- Positive, punctual and reliable

**Desirable attributes;**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the water industry, or related industry with transferable skills.
- Class 2 license
- First Aid
