InfraCore aims to continuously improve the quality of life for Rotorua residents and visitors through the provision of high-quality cost-effective services.

We work within the public utilities and services space with a particular focus on waters infrastructure, open spaces, city cleaning, general civil works and nursery services. We deliver a range of operations and maintenance services under long term contracts, as well as taking on specific project works.

InfraCore takes pride in maintaining and caring for parks and reserves providing active and passive facilities for the enjoyment of the communities we serve.

Our work includes everything from annual bedding displays, perennial gardens, mowing, weed control, arboricultural services, revegetation programs, sports field renovations and the delivery of landscape projects to enhance the local environment.

The drinking water team covers every aspect of water in its’ journey from the spring to your tap including:

- Managing water treatment, sampling and testing
- Operating and maintaining pumps and bores
- Carrying out infrastructure repair work
- Liaising with the public and consumers on water service matters
- Running leak detection programmes
- Proving, testing and operating valves and hydrants
- Pressure and flow testing networks
- Monitoring network telemetry
- Problem solving and investigating issues in the reticulation system.

**About the role**

This role will be a part of our drinking water team responsible for the maintenance and operation of our drinking water systems. Tasks includes:

- Operation, maintenance and monitoring of pump stations and reservoirs
- All valves and hydrants painted cleaned cleared and exercised.
- Thorough Leak detection process of zones is undertaken with all findings recorded accurately and followed up with job cards.
- Ensure services are delivered in an effective and customer focused way.
- Undertake physical laboring duties.

**About you**

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has a current NZ driver's license
- Is working towards or completed NZ Certificate in Water Treatment
- Is highly detail focused.
- Can work in a methodical manner.
- Can use online app-based programme to record inspections.
- has strong communication skills.
- Can be adaptable.
- Has proven capability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
- Has an understanding and commitment to hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Is physically fit,
- Is positive, punctual and reliable.
