The Engagement & Communications Team provides strategic and operational guidance, advice, and support on all aspects of engagement and communications for the Ministry, including engagement and communications strategy development and implementation, internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement support, media management and communications channels.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your potential in engagement and communications and within a friendly, supportive, and encouraging team, a team who will share their experience and help you to develop professionally.
Reporting to the Manager of Engagement and Communications, you will provide advice and support to all levels of the organisation, with a focus on internal communications and supporting other members of the team. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of engagement and communications tasks, develop and contribute to plans and strategies, respond to media queries, write speeches, and prepare communications materials.

In this exciting and varied role, you will need to be collaborative, people-focused, and agile in your working style and find innovative ways to delivering best practice communications and engagement services. You will also have:

- Some experience or knowledge providing engagement and communications advice and an understanding of business partnering to support the Ministry's goals
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships quickly and work collaboratively within a team and across the wider Ministry
- Excellent writing and communication skills and the influencing abilities
- A keen interest in working on a range of communications for a variety of channels
- Proven organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks independently

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
The salary range is $72,000 - $85,000 per annum. The appointed salary will reflect skills and experience.
