**About Four Points Sheraton Auckland**
Four Points by Sheraton is a hotel brand owned by Marriott International, one of the world's largest hotel chains. A modern, upscale hotel located in the heart of Auckland's central business district. The hotel offers 255 spacious guest rooms and suites, all of which are equipped with modern amenities. The hotel features an on-site restaurant, The Queen's Head Bar and Eatery as well as a rooftop bar (The Churchill) with panoramic views of the city. We offer a convenient, comfortable, and stylish option for both leisure and business travellers visiting the city. Its central location and range of amenities make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore Auckland's many attractions, or for those visiting the city for work.

We are looking for a **12 months** **Fixed-Term** **Reservations Agent **to join our Sales Department to cover parental leave until 31st January.

**Main responsibilities include but is not limited to**:

- Verify all reservation information with callers to ensure accuracy
- Accommodate and document special requests in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Explain guarantee and cancellation policies to callers.
- Describe room accommodations and benefit feature sale amenities to guests.
- Use sales techniques when assisting guests in making reservations, including personalizing calls, obtaining complete guest needs, suggesting alternate dates or directing guests to sister properties on sold out days.
- Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, room availability, restricted dates, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events).
- Identify guest reservation needs by asking open-ended questions to obtain all necessary information, including enrolment in Marriott Rewards program.
- Use sales techniques when assisting guests in making reservations, including personalizing calls, obtaining complete guest needs, suggesting alternate dates or directing guests to sister properties on sold out days. Identify repeat guests using appropriate codes.
- Input and access data in reservation system by entering correct information into proper fields, including Marriott Rewards number, and asking for travel agency IATA and FIT numbers (i.e., flags, comments, guest messages).
- Input group rooming lists using reservation systems (e.g., MARSHA, Fidelio, OPERA)
- Revise room blocks in the reservation system (e.g., MARSHA, Fidelio, OPERA) to maintain the required number of available rooms after rooming lists are entered.
- Set-up proper billing accounts (i.e., share-with, room/tax/incidentals, tax exempt, direct/special billing, and group bookings) according to accounting policies.

**About You**
- Ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and professionally with guests and stakeholders.
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.
- Exceptional computer skills
- Microsoft Office Words, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Experience with using reservation system e.g. MARSHA, Fidelio, OPERA is preferred.
- Hospitality background is essential, Sales experience would be a bonus
- Individual who can comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
